Thou Wast Mild and Lovely

There are places you go, where the things you do will matter to a lot of people. Then there are places you will go, where the things you will do matter only to a very few. But to those few, they will matter a lot.

Partly told from the perspective of a cow, Josephine Decker's narrative feature focuses on the sensual inner life of a woman, her father and the man they hire to work their farm.

Thou Wast Mild and Lovely is a sensual thriller inspired by East of Eden and starring love, death, guns, goats and a farm in the wilds of Kentucky. Starring Joe Swanberg, Sophie Traub, and Robert Longstreet and directed by Josephine Decker, this feature film explores eroticism in lonely places.
